Description

Once I switched from PC to Mac I decided to rework my entire library to get them all to one standard. Color profiled monitor and all that jazz so my prints match my screen. While it's been tedious and time consuming, it's also been a blast as I'm seeing things with new eyes (so to speak), noticing things that I missed before. So in the spirit of posting my favorite images, you'll see a lot of jumps in the years. As always, thank you for your kind words on my previous posts. Eric

Well, we Macians see things with different eyes. This is true. AND, we love jumps, especially when they are creative. Excellent stuff again Eric.

Cool stuff. If you haven't already, may I suggest zooming in on the steel girders and finding and interesting combo of form and line in them alone? I see some neat things happening there, but am less wowed by the rest of the scene.

I saw what you were talking about Kort and did some additional cropping; I kind of like this version better. The brush in the foreground had to stay, without it the picture looked too off balance. Thanks for the suggestion.

I like the balance you've achieved with this crop. The light becomes just as important as the form, sweeping bright to dim across the bridge. I wouldn't have put a lot of importance on the brush if you hadn't mentioned it, but I can see how sterile this might be without it. Great shot!

This is a marvelous piece of work. I was immediately struck by the movement of the image and the brush in the foreground is what triggered it; I saw it as an important reflection of the diagonal-opposite darkness at the upper-right corner of the screen...it sort of "pinched" my perception along the bridge in an interesting and fun way...and then, as is typical of me, I started looking at the rivets. VERY nice work!
