Description
This is the fossilized remains of an ancient crocodile that can be found at The Shrine of Remembrance in Victoria (see my previous posts). It is actually in a huge polished stone pillar. As we explored the building, we got shown many examples of this. They just happened to be in the stone when it was originally taken from the quarry. Its to the centre of the picture and slightly left, and as you can probably tell is very small.

This is quite an amazing find and I love the overall abstract feel of this image. It would also make an excellent planet texture for some bizarre photoshop-based science fiction render...but then, splotches on walls, rock patterns and even water damaged wall paper always make the most interesting textures. I also like the hints of selective coloring, it's a nicely subtle surprise when you see this full sized. Stunningly great work!
