Description
We found a poor little stranger,
Tired and cold,
Just a little sparrow,
So small and so scared.
Stuck in a glue trap,
Dieing and unable to move.
Feathers ripped and torn,
Wing broken and bleeding.
While other little birds sang overhead,
So happy and merry,
Not mourning their friends plight.
That poor little sparrow,
Was uncared for by any but God.
We freed it from the sticky death.
Gave it comfort in what way we could.
We placed the sparrow in a box,
For a time safe and dry.
Then we watched, waited while it died.
Then underneath an angels eye,
It flew up - up into the sky
And we bid the tiny bird good-bye.
Glue Traps Are Inhumane.
I watched my daughter cry when the little bird died. This is for you Cassie, I am sorry we couldnt save it.

You are absolutely right. People are so thoughtless with their indiscriminant death traps. And for what purpose... to give themselves a few more minutes of comfort they take an innocent life? Well done to give a bit of dignity, and comfort to a poor creature of God.

What happened to the small sparrow is cruel and unhuman in everyway. Thank you and your family for trying to save him and giving him little comfort before he died. This is a very beautiful image.
