Description

Alright...sorry it's been awhile since my last post...I hate it when my day job gets in the way :) Well so far I have redone SAS, textured the rocks, and added the tree and bush since the last installment. The tree and bush still require quite a bit more work on the textures. However, I am having some difficulty getting the UV mapped leaves on both the tree and bush to be completely transparent. I have a black and white image in the transparency channel and most other parameters utilize this same black and white image as an alpha to ensure nothing "funky" happens...unfortuantely something funky did happen, so if any of you know what I did wrong could you please clue me in. As always thanks for all the great feedback and suggestions!

Great Work so far! I'm one of the other people :), I like the foreground bush but how much I like it will depend on the final composition

Good grief! This is awesome! Not sure what's going on with your clip mapped leaves, but the surface textures are very convincing. Nice work!

Ok, it lookes like the leaves need a reflection or diffusion, or perhaps specularity map, because light is still being redlected or refracted by the leaves. That is my bryce knowledge. I hope maybe by blind meanderings helped shed at least some light on this situation. I have been watching this piece progress and it looks better and better everytime you post it, which I am sure is a difficult thing.

This is really beautiful work. as for the leaves, if they are UV MAPPED, you may want to invert your transparrency map and copy it to the specular layer as an alpha(so the black is outside the leaf and the same with spec, glossiness. This should fix it for you. POST MORE!!!!!
