Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I used to have tires on my car in high school that looked that way. LOL. Nobody ever checked for vehicle safety in those days except girls' mothers. Very creative Marilyn!

Magnificent contrast in this splendid capture of the well worn tire, which still has the capacity to generate its own lightning display in its center hub.

Well worn and well taken! Great shot!

WOW! When I first looked at this, I thought you captured a kind of tire sculpture rather than an actual, worn out tire. This is so cool! The light really pops and I like that blue color you brought out.

I like this a lot! I saw this earlier but only got to comment now. WOW! The color is amazing and I also thought you might have captured a tire sculpture or something: it almost looks like glass rather than rubber, but that's also what really works. This really rocks!

Why do they have to dump oud tires in the ocean? No bald jokes please. Dana

Guess you couldn't resist this? It's not just any tyre but a white wall and with that much tread wear it resembles an early drag slick! Now this takes beach combing to another level... Kool shot.
