Description

in the darkest hours of the night as i stared at nothing without sight it dawned on my tired mind and my heart cried to me that i'm like a ship without the sea too many times I stood aside and let slip away the tide too many times I remained upon the shore too many times - but no more! I must sail away from my fear I must catch the winds the winds of love in my sails and dare to dance the tides I must fly Image captured in Namibia 2010.

Fantastic work: I love it when images and words come together with such perfection, and yeah I understand that feeling too. Your poem here reminds me of the Bene Gesseritt "Litany Against Fear" that was made oh-so-popular in the Dune Universe...I won't quote the whole thing here, but what you've written resonates in the same profound way...as if you're facing an empty horizon and literally saying finishing off the litany with the declaration that when your fear has gone past, only YOU will remain. Yeah...I love it when stuff comes together like that, when you make the most profound step imaginable. Its always such a huge step, even if it's a tiny one.
