Description

I have collected plants with black/bronze/purple leaves. They are all out in the garden in summer. While I wait for them I have this to brightem my day in the greenhouse. This Aeonium atropurpureum "Schwartzkopt" goes as dark as any leaf. It has had many offspring, cuttings passed on to friends. It is an eyecatcher that is followed with "have you got a spare plant" when first seen as a larger specimen in full sun.

It is an eye catching plant. I lost my purple one but still have my green one. I love the frosted look this beautiful capture has.

This is a beauty and a great photograph. I love the Latin names of plants. Because there are so many local names, which are lovely in themselves, it is much easier to identify one if we all speak the same plant language.

Great shot! I too have some of those plants. Soon time to put them outside into full sun (i.e. after the last chilly nights) to have them darken even more.
