This is El Capitain. Have taken this POV to show the small unnamed waterfall on the right side of this monolith. This image will lead into another POV tomorrow.

It is a truly amazing rock, so massive. It appears to be one giant rock, it doesn't seem to have the layers most rock formations do. I could look at it for hours. Beautiful composition especially against that spectacular sky. Looking forward to tomorrow's shot.

This is quite amazing! I love monoliths like this...they're always so impressive, and proof that Earth is quite a geologically active planet, even when it pretends to stand still and not go spitting huge rocks skyward. I love the scale you've captured here. Wonderful!
