Simply gorgeous! I love photographs that are haunting and almost melancholy like this one. There's a distinct sense of peace in this image, but also a feeling of longing--something's missing...history has played itself out and so the present is all that we have, but it gives us the feeling that the present is simply all that remains AFTER the interesting (or useful) bits of the past have...well...passed. For me, this establishes a kind of emotional tension and this picture really captures and presents that marvelously. Excellent work!
