Description

The Melbourne Zoo has a large resident Pelican population. The strange thing is that they are all free to fly away at any time.....but they never do because of the endless supply of fresh fish! They do make quick flights to the beach to catch some fish, but then come straight back for a second meal! We have a similar group at out local jetty.

The Pelican, the pelican, his beak can hold more than his belly can.

He is a great deal more attractive than some of the human fishermen at our river.
