Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Bad rocks! Ooooh! Don't you just hate it when rocks go bad? Great shot!

Don't know where these rocks came from but they do look very suspecious....lol They do look like rocks we use to Kalua Pig (pig cooked underground) here in Hawaii. Interesting capture. Aloha

Hmmm - they are probably there for hideous crime.. Bad, bad rocks indeed! I'm glad they were caught and are behind bars where they belong!

They're actually escaping, but they move sooooooooo slowly it's almost impossible to see it happening. :P Great capture of these captured rocks!

The life of a rock can be very hard.

Isn't this the strangest thing? I have a shot of a veritable prison block of these... Excellent capture of man's cruelty to nature!

One, two, three o'clock, four o'clock, rock, Five, six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock, rock, Nine, ten, eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock, rock, We're gonna rock around the clock tonight..... Cool and stark light and shadow effects in this stunning shot of the incarcerated rocks, Maz!

At least until they change their ways! Wonderful image and perfect title!

It breaks my heart to see rocks gone bad, especially knowing that if their parents raised them right when they were just wee little impressionable pebbles, things would have gone differently! Honestly! These rocks today just have no regard for anything and they're all incarcerated at such young ages! What is the world coming to!? Great shot! I love the sharpness of it and the fact that they were obviously put behind bars for something. The uppermost right rock, with the surly expression (I think he's the one Andrea saw) looks like the getaway driver that didn't get away.

Love Chips's comment above...all the comments above actually. What's left smart for me to say? I guess I could ask, "What's dummer than a box of rocks?" And then answer, "Well, the cage full that Marilyn captured the other day!" Very creative M:)
