Description
Prague is a well known tourist goal, and as such it sports every type of restaurants, pubs, bars, etc. Often the signs are very creative in their aim to charm the passers-by to enter. I found these two restaurants downton, but in different streets. I couldn't resist the temptation to put them close, actually door-to-door in this collage. As you can see they advertise their offer for international customers, and I can say that, generally speaking, the Czech know English well. They did a great job in teaching it at school. Of course, in other parts of the country the situation may be very different, but if you don't speak Czech, you'll never find the least problem in Prague.
Thank you for your kind comments.

Prague looks like a wonderful destination and the people seem to have a great sense of humor. I like how you've combined the scenes they fit very naturally. Excellent work.

Ooh, CoreyBlack was logged into my computer and I didn't realize that I made my comment under HIS login. Oh well...I still love this picture! I also love the memories that it brings back, especially of the bramburak, the knedly, and the nice, big hunks of roasted boar that you could eat for fairly cheaply. This is great, and it's funny that I've managed to comment twice on this, by sheer and total accident. For the Record, Corey DID see this picture and was rather entertained that I could get so wistful and nostalgic about Prague; I'm trying to talk him into a trip there, when I return. We'll see what happens.

Your collage is very subtly done: Only in looking at the zoomed version did I see the border; but because of the borders of the sign & the lit verticals elsewhere, the border seems to fit right in. I know you love to juxtapose, and you seem to find no end to the ways one can do it. Here, the juxtaposition is as natural as two friends talking across an ocean...the ocean is huge, but the connection brings them into each other's living room. The color schemes are similar too. And you capture how a restaurant suddenly turns a heavy stone facade into a cavern of human warmth. Your details are small & very personal to each place, and the richness of the streets comes across too. Between you & chip I want to go to this city tomorrow. Your Prague series has been a delight & education for me, and it's wonderful to go romping through here whenever I come online. A lot of fun, and, visually, a very rich collage.
