Description

The capture of this grey/gray wolf just caught me off gaurd. While this photo was taken at Wild Life Prairie State Park in Illinois, this elegant creature is native to the area. I also learned a few things while looking this creature up. For instance the gray wolf is also simply known as the wolf and is the largest wild member of the Canidae family. In addition it is an ice age survivor originating during the Late Pleistocene around 300,000 years ago. I dont want to spoil the learning curve for any whom wish to do their own research.

CrownPrince, yep it's Wild Life Prairie Park near Peoria Illinois and it's focal point is native wild life and plants. It's a great place to go if you've never been. :)
