Description
Well, I will be later today, that is!! I should have been at the airport as we speak (write/read??), but got a call VERY early this morning telling me my flight had been cancelled. So, there I was, still half asleep, negotiating the airline's voice mail (bad at its best, horrid at 3am!!), getting new flights. I got it all sorted out, went back to bed and now have my coffee. I think I can function now.
Oh, where am I going? Seattle, to see Tara (auntietk), Denise (mrsratbag) and whoever else is lucky enough to cross our paths!!

OMG, orange all the way in this magnificent shot of the portside wing flying above an ocean of rippling cotton candy, Maz! Your flights were being cancelled due to the putrid and destructive ash spewing from the Iceland volcano.

Outstanding shot of an older 737. Gosh, I hate workin' on Guppies. They're so dirty/oily and use a TON of screws (panels on/panels off for "C" check -annual- inspections).

Sounds like fun, even with the flight problems. My job keeps me in the office except just a few weeks each year. But I have hopes mid-July will cut me loose and we can meet up in Ft.Bragg. :-)

What an image! And the West Coast Ninjas are getting together (are already together as I write this!) I can imagine how fun THAT will be! And wow, what a post to commemorate the start of it. I love the dramatic color, and my favorite place to sit on any plane is near the wing. I don't know why, I think it's the excitement of seeing the flaps and airfoils and stuff flapping and airfoiling and doing whatever else all of those complicated wing-things do. I really like this shot quite a lot.
