What a feast for the eyes (and soul) this image is! I love the mellow intensity, if there is such a thing. The textures are superb, and yeah, I happen to continually marvel at the whole transformational matter of a cute and aesthetically intriguing (often flamboyant) caterpillar turning into an equally beautiful butterfly. I love the visual echo in this image as well, the iris (at least I think it's an iris) and the butterfly...WOW...it's as if both are aspects of the same existential living thing! This is superb.
