Description

Hi Everyone, here is a quick shot of the damage from a black bear who visited our bird feeders sometime last night. The pipe is painted galvanized inch and a half iron water pipe- no match for a hungry spring bear. This snow should be melted by afternoon. Oh yes and he left plenty of sunflower seeds in the other feeders untouched. Thanks for the look and any comment. -GB-

I was thinking "big bird" made an over night call!I am glad bears are not a problem here, but they are out in the countryside but not prevalent like up north

Startling to think a bear was in the yard. i stay well out of the areas where bear roam. I've seen windows, doors and cars pulled apart in our high country here. A closed door doesn't do much if they are hungry and on the move.

There was a dusting of snow in the Adirondacks .. and south of us closer to the Pennsylvania border in the hills. I wonder if the Hollow had any snow. Glad the bear didn't destroy anything else, and I hope it finds a home somewhere safe. The young boys are on the move now, as mom bears are shooing them off to find their own homes. thanks so much for stopping and leaving the wonderful comment. Yup .. it's a Trout Lily, should have mentioned that.

Maybe you can get a shot of him coming back; the flash might deter him from repeating!
