UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Great capture, Bill!

This brings back the great memories of a big thick Ruben at the NY Deli just on the left side of this posting. Super shot Bill and I remember the old days when they wouldn’t allow cameras in the casinos. Dana

What a splendid image! Great composition and I love the colors. The place looks like alot of fun! You really get me wanting to go experience it myself!

This is gorgeous! I love the "street" with the outdoor tables and the building facades, all working harmoniously together in that deliciously urban way, then thrown slightly off axis by what appears to be a walkway above it all and to the right: it reminds me of the Zocolo on Babylon 5--the showcase space station featured in a tv show of the same name. I like that vibe, that sort of odd indoor/outdoor feel to this. I love the colors too, and the sense of activity. This is great.

Most wonderful Bill! It reminds me if our Monte Casino Centre which was build in the old Italian style complete with cobble stone "streets" and washing hanging from lines span across from window to window! Excellent shot!
auntietk
That must be such an amazing place to be! I just now noticed (after staring at this image for HOW long?) that the street is wet! What a charming bit of streetside authenticity. (Is it my imagination, or is there someone in that window?) :P Excellent capture! Do they all sound like you there? :D

Excellent POV; I love the underground parts of the casinos, not least because it's much cooler down there than up in the real Las Vegas!

Not a particularly large cassino then, just big enough to squeeze a couple of New York city blocks in.Love this one...wonder if they ever use it for a film / T.V set.

Great shot, Bill. I'm just working on a few shots from NY, NY that I hope to finish by the weekend. It's a great place, I'll definitely be going back.
