Used in the local Flag Officer Sea Training exercises, U33 normally based in Kiel heads out into Plymouth Sound. Thanks for looking and any comments.

I am fascinated by submarines... I can't imagine what it would be like to be completely under water in one. There is a great little 2-man exploration mini-sub in San Francisco I once got to see and of course, I recently posted the sub at the park in Galveston. They are amazing and so it this look at this one in your photo.

I too am a submarine nut...even though I spent a career in the Army:) I visit subs wherever they are and have read a dozen books or more over the years about them. Last sub visited was U-505 in a Chicago Museum...it is back in my gallery in June and October 2009. Your photo is excellent. U-33 is a long way ahead of U-505:)
