Description

It's not often I dare to put an image in the Realistic category, but I tried hard with this one with tweaking textures and lighting, (particularly on the teeth!) so I thought I'd risk it. I hope you like - thanks for looking! Also a huge Thank You to those who Fav'ed me as an artist last week - I made the Art Charts for the first time in many months which was a very nice surprise! Please don't be shy in adding your comments, I love to see your feedback (suggestions and criticism as well as the positives). Cheers, Phil

Great work, very realistic. But as for me she's not smiling: she's gonna say something right now, and she's surprised/amazed a little, she looks in wide-eyed astonishment... But excellent picture in any way.

Lighting is really nice! Though I think if her mouth were closed slightly and the corners of her lips were curled up a bit more it'd nail the smile. I tend to go with half-smiles because I can never really get a decent full one. ;P Still it's a great expression, and I particularly like her eyes. I don't have the guts to put anything in the Realistic category yet, so kudos!

Wonderfully done! I agree with ThetaLov above: I've found that more subtle dial settings seem to work better on the expressions - SO difficult to make them more realistic. Nice work here Phil!

Wow! this is amazing realistic..I have been using Worldbuilder and Vue and come to a realization that Carrara seems to have a more smooth and realistic render than the others....not only that but you made the skin so realistic it is almost like there is no screen on my computer but a hole and she is just there staring at me!
