Description
The iconic Buck 110.
Beautiful knives since 1899. The 110 is THE original lock-back hunting/all purpose knife, renowned for its durability, amazing reliability and elegant simplicity. It debuted in 1962 and still remains Buck's signature knife. This is a tool that won't let you down regardless of the application. I have used this particular 110 in the bush for years and years and successfully cut just about everything.....the blade is still like a razor and looks like new.
Specifications:
Blade length: 3-3/4 inches.
Carrying system: High grade black leather sheath.
Handle material: Natural timbers and polished brass.
Length closed: 4-7/8 inches.

Here is another of my treasured Bucks, this time the smaller but equally beautifully made 501.

They are great knives. I have one similar to this one. My husbands always had 2 or 3 on hand, and my grandson has one. One of my favorite features is the weight in the handle. It balances well in the palm of the hand. Love the shot, find the info very interesting.

Good on you...Enjoy.. Let me tell you a story about good ol 'Great' Britain.. A man (I believe aged 61, a scout leader, with NO criminal record), has been prosecuted in this country for have a 'Swiss Army Knife' in a bag, rolled up with a first aid kit and a torch, in the glove compartment of his car!! He explained it was for camping and emergencies and that he had a disabled wife he cut food up for.. But, common sense went out of the window.. They prosecuted him.. He now has a criminal Record, his DNA is on the database for life.. So pathetic is it in this Country, the Company that makes the knife, in Switzerland has advised people not to 'take them outside!'... Get your head around that.. But if your an illegal immigrant..Welcome! If your a murderer..You are likely to get away with it.. Or at least get money out of being prosecuted because.. your 'human rights have been violated!' I'll stop.. I envy you.. Rob

I still have a Buck pocket knife from way too many years ago Nice photos

Great shot of an icon! For all my years in the Navy I always had one on my belt and still carry one on hikes and have another tucked away in my car. For several years I lived less than five miles from the Buck factory and visited frequently - each knife was essentially hand made by skilled craftsman. You could spend hours watching them and browsing the factor store. Unfortunately, due to an unfriendly business climate, Buck was forced to close its facilities here and move out of state. Anyway nice work on the image.

Great shot of one of the most useful items around. I've had, and lost, more than I can remember. They work for just about anything!

I have a 112 sitting right here on my desk, waiting to be photographed with a rather different knife. More later...
