Thanks all - Yes Fixer a good thought, I couldn't make up my mind on blurring the background. Guess I'll try one and compare them.

Nice portrait, just a bit too "sharp". And I don't mean dof only. The face and the hair as well looks a bit too "digital". Try a bit of smoothing and see whether it makes a difference.
