Description

Like most, if not all of you, I went out this past week and bought my copy of Avatar.. if only to check out the difference between the 3D and 2D versions... at least that's what I'm telling my older then me friends. In doing so I thought I would try my hand at modeling a few mountains for my Vue users. Uploading it tonight to C3D, it is comprised of 4 rock formations, and a basic set of hanging and bridging vines. I have added a tiled texture map in mix with a base procedural from Vue and used it at different scales. While I have not included vegetation, everyone out there is more talented then me in this area, I have added some in this render to check out the look that users will be able to achieve. There are so many wonderful plants, vines, and waterfall effects available, I'm sure those who want to create their own Pandora will have hrs of creative time doing so with great results. Could not resist the space craft from C3D. Waterfalls are simply waterfall brushes in Photoshop. Hope you will enjoy.
