Description
A policeman meets fleetingly a mysterious woman with a Playboy bag... Did he gave her a code sign, a verbal message or an object such as a drive pen? Are they real people or non-humans in disguise?
I imagined every sort of plots after seeing this shot taken walking around the streets of Prague. You can add your plot to it, if you like.
For years, the Czech Republic has been a hot destination for foreign movie production. Over the years, film locations in the Czech Republic have been passed off as sites both historical and current. Sometimes Prague is even cast as Prague. Many films have been made at the Barrandov Studios. Hollywood movies set in Prague include Mission Impossible, Blade II and xXx, Spy Game, The Bourne Identity, Underworld, Hellboy, The Narnia Saga, Casino Royale, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, among others.

Niki could not help but think there was something wrong about the police officer. She had seen him before, that much she was certain. Could she have bumped into him on another leg of his patrol? Could it have been at a store or restaurant, when he was off duty? He seems out of place for some reason. Was it his eyes that disturbed her? They locked with hers as he passed, just for a moment. In spite of her sunglasses he managed to gaze straight into her like a predatory animal. She felt marked, a target somehow. Is this man a hawk that circles its pray awaiting for optimum vulnerability? It seemed silly. Where did she see him before? Niki sifted her memories, searching for the half forgotten clues that might place this disturbing familiar face. Now to distraction, stumbling off the curb now and again, she tried to maximize her distance from the menacing stranger. All the while some maddening cloud kept her thoughts from placing the officer. The wolf clad in the uniform of a supposed protector. What was wrong with her? She could always pick out a face in a crowd. It was her special gift, her grandmother once told her. Why can't she focus on this problem? Why can't she walk straight? Then with a sudden shock mixed with horror, it was the restaurant, a glass of water. He brought the water not her waiter... Niki stumbled again, this time tumbling to the ground. As she drifted away into darkness and fitful sleep she could her someone next to her summon the police.

Most interesting image. I have to comment on the amount of street signs. Makes it look a movie set for NY. :~)

great shot, Sandra, and hmm... he went by her and dropped something in her bag, normally she wouldn't have realized but it was something heavy and so the bag made a move she noticed. She had to search immediatly, as she was curious...

He's just got changed out of his frock and six inch Manolos in time to go on duty, and dumped them in her bag. Will they fit her? What a bummer if they don't!

One more movie to add to the list: Hostel a plotless disaster of a film featuring lots of blood and gore! It was stupid, but the street scenes were filmed in Prague, because the director felt that American audiences wouldn't know the difference between Prague and Bratislava, and Bratislava was chosen as the location of the film, because many Americans can't find Slovakia on a map and are, thus, afraid to go there, because of psycho-killing prostitutes in--you guessed it, hostels! Anyway... I love this shot. I've had so many encounters with the Czech National police. A couple of them were English students I'd taught, and after class, they'd hang around telling me police stories in broken English. Off duty, they're nice. ON duty, they don't seem to do very much but walk around looking surly. As for the woman and the officer walking in the opposite direction, I think they're definitely members of "the Network" which operates in Prague for vague and unknowable reasons. I think she passed him a secret code baked into a dumpling. The only way to reveal the code is to eat the dumpling.
