Description
South of France here. Weather generally nice, people generally dumb, but is there a relation... together and with what pops in my garden?
One morning I found these trails in the center of a big pot which had been there upside-down for some time.
Can you guess WHAT left these trails?
;-)
Each "footstep" is about 5mm long.

Looks like tadpoles to me. Nice capture and welcome to RR. Dana

Thanks for the welcome :) I have been around since some time, but had nothing worth posting... Well, no tadpoles ;) Actually something left (foot)prints in the thin mud which had deposited up the bottom of the pot...

I have no idea what these are, but it's a fascinating image. At first I thought these were marks left by some type of snake, there's a kind of pattern that matches what you'd find from the belly of a snake moving sideways, but I only know a few species that do that and they don't leave those little tadpole shapes. Of course the thumbnail made me think this was some intriguing rock. At any rate, I like this image a lot! It's quite well seen. I look forward to seeing more!

Happy to have pleased you :) Must say I was HIGHLY puzzled when discovering those little tracks one morning in my garden!! Clearly looks like some "monopod" being (hint, hint...)

Those Wazsaroo footprints, you need to get that photograph posted to the Natural History Museum (London) immediately. They will send over capture/kill experts straight away. The last time a Wazsaroo footprint was seen.....several nearby villages simply disappeared into thin area. Whatever you do stay well away from that pot. Bon chance mon ami.

Oh, so THIS is a Wazsaroo... Good to know Thankfully, as you pointed, it is likely the wild kitten ate the wild Wazsaroo for long :-))
