Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Wow, love the sunlight and clouds. The airplane...as you might expect...is one I am familiar with...Midwest Airlines flys them between Kansas City and Seattle. ...tickets prices are cheap. LOL

As much sense as any flight pattern these days! Great shot!

Love this! One of snappy on the go shots I like so much. One of the first digital photos I ever made was out the window of a Southwest Boeing 737-800 three years ago today coming into Tampa to see my parents. And in typically airline style the plane actually flies about 250 miles out of the way down beyond the land intelf and over the Dry Tortugas and then loops all the way back up to Tampa. I'm sure they have their reasons. Great shot

Stellar silhouetting and textures in this mind-numbing capture of the great beyond, Maz! A propeller driven aircraft, I assume.

I'm singing: "Up, up and away in my beautiful Embraer ERJ 145" but it doesn't quite have the ring I'd expected. But I'm sure that actually flying in one would be fun. They're kinda sexy in that aeronautical way: very sleek, except when they're not, of course. I love those colors, the way the clouds and sunlight and engine bit all work so perfectly together. There's nothing quite like aeronautical photography from an airplane window. I think there should be a genre dedicated solely to that--not just aviation, but "aviation through a window." And that's because of shots like this. Marvelous.
