her face has been one of the most popular insects, being a farmers natural insect killing machine this is the first time I was able to get the individual eye facets of a lady bug. thanks for stopping by and any comments will be appreciated

An interesting (and odd) fact is that they squirt blood from their knees when disturbed. Apparently it's an alkaloid poison other insects find nasty.

So cool! (They nip with those little jaws if you pick them up too much, and you can feel it! I've learned to move them using a leaf instead of grabbing them with my fingers;) Fantastic macro!
