Description
Not a photo, in case the noise on the caustic reflection didn't give it away. I decided to model my trusty ol' Pentel Sideclick. This version was probably the one of the best that 3 for $5.00 could have bought. (The newer grippy ones aren't as good IMO.)
Now I'm undecided as to what to do with the model. I'm somewhat split between selling it and giving it away.
And before anyone asks, this was rendered in Carrara. It's easy to get good results with minimal fiddling.

Very nice paul. I was particular to the Pentel Superball and Ceramicron pens before they discontinued. Pental has a bad habit of changing good things. Again, very nice! Sell it!

I did some other research and it turns out that they have brought back the "classic" QC (Like Coke, sometimes things are best the first time around. lol!), but whether or not a local retailer carries that version is another thing. But they can be bought online direct from the manufacturer. I've heard some people say that S&H is a bit steep though. And my model is for sale over at TurboSquid. (Keywords "mechanical pencil" and then look at the lower price range.) I'd sell here, but items not that hot on the Poser market (as with most "bare" .objs) tend to get dropped with low turnover. (Unless they changed this policy? In which case I'd be more than happy to sell here as well. I just find it a nuisance to have to remember where the file is and re-upload old stuff whenever a potential buyer wanders around.)
