What a nice tribute! The Space Shuttle is still a remarkable feat and despite the two tragic losses, it was very successfull - it gave us many inspiring missions and among other things was the major contribution to the ISS. And while only 7 brave people went up in it each time, there have been thousands of people adding to each mission - thank you for this. There are few things as awe inspiring as a Space Shuttle ascending into space...

I think for the older generation, us, you have really touched a spot in your hearts for the men and women who have lived and passed in this truly remarkable program. A wonderful composition Ken that dos indeed bring a tear to the eye.

It is a shame that the person that now occupies the white house has not a clue as to what the American space program is or has represented for our country. His speech on April 15 of this year proved that. All the time, energy and money that has been wasted by the cancellation of the Constellation program is just another example of how clueless this man is. With his vague reference to exploring asteroids and no, really clear vision for NASA. I only hope that the next person in the oval office will have a plan for making the United States the leader once more in human exploration of not just LEO but finally returning the United States back to the moon where we should have been by the year 2020 and than on to Mars. His short sightedness on this will have grave consequences for our future. David
