This image could very well be a beautiful photograph, so terragen is remarkably accurate. Looks like the Lower Pyrenees in France! beautiful sky and beautiful colors to the ground!

I bet you are very proud of the work you have done here. The tutorial shows one of the number of ways you can create a terrain with realistic surfacing. When doing close ups, you will have to reduce the displacements as you will find them too large. For larger valleys, you may want to try Hetzen'z 'flatten low areas'. I have this clip file (also a .tgd) if you are interested. It is good to see your progress here - very good work!. You might also want to try Ryan Archer's 'Golden Forest' tutorial which is at his site.
