But, you won't find the WHO performing I Can See For Miles live, ever. The WHO crafted this incredible (for 1967) album, and released I Can See For Miles as the hit that would establish them as a top British power. Unfortunately the album only caught on in a cult type manner, amongst a small elite number of fans, and Miles was a moderate hit, but did not come anywhere close to # 1 ranking in the UK. Pete Townsend was really miffed over this and threw his copy of the album into his stereo turntable. Townsend admitted as much for the cover art and metadata for the double album CD (Who Sell Out was released as a single vinyl album in the US originally).
