Description
This is a painting I did many years ago. I used oil on canvas. I decided to photograph it and upload to see what comments I received.

In a way, this reminds me something of an old icon...I think it's the length of the fingers and the general lines of the body. The colors are nicely intense, and the expression on his face is quite realistic and believable, yet definitely artistic in that there's a sense of the brush-strokes you made. In short, I like this piece quite a lot. I'm no expert on painting, but I like the balance of this, the focus of the whole piece itself and the way the background seems to focus on the shadowed inside of the goblet itself. This is quite a nice piece of work.
