Description
Started this morning. Got the basics done, just need to work on the arm and then texture him a bit better.
Pretty sure this was Huey, even though he was number 02. Been a while since I've seen the movie, so could be wrong. I know he had a toolkit kind of thing hanging below, but I didn't really like that.
Once the arm is done, Dewey should be easy enough.
Wings and Carrara, thanks for looking.

Fabulous! Huey and Dewey! I remember those robots more than I remember the rest of the movie. Now, if only I had a memory for details...

Was it Louie that got killed? This is soooooooo cool, my favorite SciFi movie, even better than StarWars. I gotta go with ri001. Never remake this, it was perfect the first time.

Nice job on these guys! Silent Running was a real groundbreaking film when you consider it was done well before all the fantastic tools available today. I think about that movie, as well as Avatar every time I see a field of trees being plowed down for another strip mall... Outstanding modeling on the robots!

I still think about that movie from time to time. It was the first movie I ever had seen Bruce Dern, though, of course, he's perhaps most famous for killing John Wayne in "The Cowboys." Both movies were filmed in 1972, interestingly. Anyway, I love this image. It brings back all the strong emotions I felt back then when, at the end, one lone robot floats off into deep space, presumably alone for eternity, with the only living plants left from earth. That was sad for a kid. Thanks for sharing this, drawbridgep.
