Description

This is an Acer with ever changing coloured leaves, as they mature. The salmon/orange to yellow, lime green, then dark green is an indicator of how far we are into summer. It is Acer pseudoplatanus " Brilliantissimum " for those not familiar with this gem.

Great photograph Kevin. I'm envious. I really like Acers. I have not had any luck with them here, having lost two already - I won't chance another in my heavy soil. The nearest I get to them is the Sambuca which thrive. I have two. The leaves are very Acer-like but much more hardy and their flowers are like elderflowers. I believe they are of the same family.
