Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

There were a lot of shells around, weren't there? Great find of this whole one, even minus the prize!

And I was thinking..'and no twinset either'. Just struck me you might need that explaining if you're not British!

Whoa, that may be an oyster shell, but it sure looks like a stack of taco shells to me. Interesting macro, though.

Looks like the oyster's gone too! Oh well! Great shot and it has me wondering what all of that stuff inside of the shell might be. Of course Andrea's comment also has me wondering what a twinset is. I'll have see if I can google it, because after all, there might just be one in there. Great shot. I like the way the shell almost looks like a smiling mouth with a pair of somewhat complicated lips.
