Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Manmade patterns contrasted against the gorgeous blue of nature's patterns in this stunning shot, Maz! Don't miss my hibiscus shot for today.

What intense and serene blue. I do love this. It reminds me a wee little bit of lapis lazuli--of the sort the Ancient Egyptians had a thing for. And I can see why they had such a thing for it. That color is amazing. I do like the grid pattern too, it's a nice bit of visual excitement that plays well with those really gorgeous abstract patterns in the water itself. WOW! This is great.
