My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

OH, this is so beautiful--I can almost see Loretta Young gliding down those stairs in one of her flowing gowns!!

Just a staircase but so elegant. Black and white is perfect for this. The reflection adds a nice touch.

Excelent compo. I can see where you came from and where you might go. Great mono shine.

Beautiful! It reminds me of Art Deco design.

That looks wonderful!

This is dreamy and ethereal, but also solid and very, very real. I love the shine that everything has, the simple and elegant lines. Black and white gives it a timeless look. Maybe you took this picture in the 21st century, maybe you took it way back when--well, before you were born, which would be a feat, but not impossible given certain temporal loopholes. At any rate, this is one of those timeless images I like so much, and apropos of nothing, I can see this as a part of a set, maybe of a re-re-re-imagined version of Dune with members of the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood flowing up and down those stairs in their flowing black robes. Marvelous!

The art on the walls and displayed in all the ways museums do...is so well done. But the building itself is a work of art. This stairway is a perfect example of the fine design and materials used during its' construction in the early 1930s. AND, you've captured the essence of this stairway to a "T". Well done. :*
