It's a sad day for fans of fantasy. His work with the Conan series is what got me interested in the genre. Excellent dedication.

His work was beautiful and it is a sad day. He was 82 and very ill. I know he is in a better place with the traditional tools he used to create his art! May he rest in peace!

What a terrible day for our community... one of the godfathers of fantasy pinup art has left us! I remember seeing his book covers at the stores and being enticed to read Edgar Rice Burrows, and Robert Howard. Without his art, the world probably would never have heard of Tarzan or Conan the Barbarian. I am very saddened to hear that one of my artistic heroes has passed... This is a very nice tribute, well done!

I did not know he had passed on. He certainly led the field and I agree in part with Seaview that he really sold the world on the Tarzan and Conan series, among others. A great hero, most of us would not be doing what we do here were it not for him.
