Nella foto di oggi sono arrivato in fondo al fosso dove si intravvede un angolo del Lago di Massaciuccoli ( la parte a nord ). Sullo sfondo le colline di Massarosa con Pieve a Elici a destra e la zona di Bargecchia più a sinistra . Dietro le colline , le Alpi Apuane.

The Apuan Alps are a mountain range located in northern Tuscany, between the rivers Magra (northwest) and Serchio (southeast), which declines to the south-west by the Apuan Riviera and the Versilia and north-east with valleys of Lunigiana and Garfagnana. The area corresponding to their pelvis is historically known as Apuania.

What a wonderful image of water and mirrors. One thing that strikes me about an image such as this is the sense of age--of timelessness, of ancient peoples living in these lands of the Northern Hemisphere. Here in the South Seas, there is no such agelessness. The land is old, but people have been here for only a few hundred years. The country is untamed, whereas your country is a garden, although we also grow roses. Thankyou for showing it.
