Description

Frank Frazetta passed on. More than a great artist, he was a great teacher. He succeeded in firing up the imaginations, the desire, the will to create in many people. Though I never met him, I think he was a fine man. Symbolism. I the learner hear the teacher invoke "Those lights up there, they are STARS! REACH for them!" I may not be good at it . . . but I never will be if I don't DO it! Sleep well old friend. We'll be along soon.

Wow! This is amazing work. I also heard about his death. My condolences to all people who admire his artwork. He was really an amazing artist and illustrator.

What a wonderful tribute to an artist who has influenced so much in the field of fantasy (and by extension, science fiction) and commercial art! This is a marvelous image with a well rendered character worthy of the great master himself. Great work!

Until recently buying and watching the Fire and Ice with Painting With Fire DVD combo, I didn't know what Frank really looked like, sounded like or how he worked. Having seen the Painting With Fire personal documentary, I thought even more highly of the man. Because he always was simply a regular person named Frank. Human, real and approachable. It moved him from a pedestal to to a place standing right in front of me, saying "Thats good! Keep at it, do more!" and smiling. I think he loved Art so much because he loved People so much. Without us, there is no Art. "You make Art in your mind, the hands just do what your mind tells them." McG.
