Description

I Would like to have you honest feedback on this one. Do you like the editing? I have attempted to create a fairytale like atmosphere, a little mysterious but no too dark. Your feedback and comments are most welcome. Photo taken at the Lakes of Killarney, Ireland. Thank you, Frieda

I like what you did Frieda! The sky has been darkened as far as I can see but there is still some light on the distant town. The warm light on the hills in the foreground is marvelous and of course the lovely pop of the light reflected on the water is fabulous! Overall very pleasing!

A lovely composition and a beautiful land. For me it is a little too much red in the image, fairies to me say green and lush, soft and light. It is still a lovely capture.

Honest like in Faries Tale ! :) OK If you tell me where I can get some of that Lepricon Gold - The editing but your not going to like it :( - Now if you zoom the image and can't see - well the back more distant landscape need serious help - a smaller zoom would be a quick fix - or if I were to do it 2-3 hrs of work with my Wacom should work - or next time just don't say anything and no one will notice :) - because - who's to say what it looks like in fairy tale Lepricon Ville ! Now I hope you don't hate me after this - I do a little kidding and a little helping - but I am no expert on anything - Take Care and know all we can do is our best and thats what counts.

I think it looks good as well good balance of light and shadows help set off the darkness you are worried about.. Spectacular looking place. I am really drawn down to the water. Nice work.

Oh, I like this a lot! I'm a fan of "tweaked" photographs, but that's probably just because I like making realistic things look a bit less real and more dream-like. This is most definitely dream-like, and I love the choices you made in modifying this. Details are nicely sharp and distinct, but it isn't "jagged" as reality can often be. It's not cliche image either; it pops with originality and well...in terms of honest feedback, this is one of those images that I love in its tweaked version, but I'm now curious about the original. I say that because you took an excellent photograph to begin with and you just increased the "visual pop" factor and turned it into something else equally wonderful. I love the fact that it could be a kind of fairy land, but the colors and the way the sky looms in an unnatural (for earth) color implies that this could easily be a more alien place, and by extension, somewhat perilous to visit. Yeah, I like that: it's specific enough to convey what you want, but open enough to allow viewers to bring their own thoughts and impressions into it. Nice work!

Looks great! The only thing I would have done is created a sky and ocean in Terragen and substituted it for the real sky and far glimpse of civilization.
