I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Another Namibia gem. Sure the builders didn't use superglue? Nicely done.

This is fantastic! What a curious structure. And that "Manager" sign adds to the wonderful off-kilter feel of it all.

You're kidding, right? That's the manager's office, built like a house of cards? Are there no building codes in Namibia? It could come crashing down during even a small earthquake. It's dark inside the structure so I assume it has a roof. In any event, I love the stark lighting and fantastic rock patterns and textures in this brilliant image, Carin.

if I did not know better, I would swear this was in the SW USA.outstanding landscape

Typical manager with a fancy, luxurious office. {;-> He/She does have an awesome view. Fantastic image, classic shot. Could be someplace in the American Southwest.

Very nice shot!!!

I love this! Since it's dim inside, there must be some sort of roof. Your image makes me think, wonder, smile, and enjoy the view. Excellent work!

And the big bad wolf huffed and he puffed but even though there was no cement he couldn't blow the managers house down :)

Just have to make do with what they have...not may comforts it seems..

I experienced places like this in small Czech towns...buildings that didn't actually have anything substantial holding them together. Their weight is what holds them together!!! I love that. This is totally different and nicely otherworldly. I see that construction and the GORGEOUS landscape, and then see the word "Manager." I wonder if he know how great a job he must have? This is brilliant!
