Description

Today is Jerusalem Day, a holiday to celebrate the reunification of the holy city. I actually did this last year around this time, but figured today was the best day to post it here. It shows a family worshiping at the Western Wall (something Jews were not allowed to do from 1948-1967). Originally, it was going to be Mom, Dad and son, but the woman started to look a bit like Golda Myer, so I aged her and turned her into Grandmother instead. I'll leave with these words from hasidic reggae singer Matisyahu: Three thousand years with no place to be And they want me to give up my milk and honey Don't you see it's not about the land or the sea Not the country but the dwelling of His majesty.
