Description

thanks for coming by for a peek. created after one of my all time favorite movies. now that the torrance's have left the outlook motel "timberline lodge". residence guests are now seeing the ghostly kids. kim wanted to see some ghosts, and now that she has, she's thinking aw crap i guess ghost's are real. i'm outta here!! you'll notice the room sign on the right wall from rooms 217 - 237, in the book it was room 237 where the murders took place. but in the movie they changed it to 217 if i remember right.. trina valentina gothic style second skin on her is by: syltermermaid kinda strange lighting eh?? hope you like. lol steve

Thank you for your comments on my last image: cars hiss by my window thumb_2056670.jpg and a big congrats to my great white north friends on the montreal canadians making it to the eastern conference finals in hockey, go canada in this one..

Outstanding work, Steve! I read the book first, then saw the movie--of course the book was better--but I never noticed the room number change! You don't miss much, LOL! Anyways...love the lighting and the theme on this one!

Fantastic job on bringing this idea to life Steve and being a huge fan of The Shining myself this really did make my night. Maybe Stewie Griffin will come speeding down the hall to her rescue on his big wheel by taking them out like he did on that Family Guy episode.

Good grief, you've been busy! That movie gave me the creeps. This is a really effective representation. The narrow, darkened hallway is effective in creating the sensation of entrapment and tension. The ghosts, the stuff of nightmares. Intangible and completely in command of the moment. Excellent.

the very strange thing is i started a scene yesterday also with kids 4 in an abandoned office and the bg i took is also the dark hallway by cheryl. and i was thinking of shining too but i used a troll as monster instead. funny. a wave of inspiration flows through the galleries just smell it its soooo sweet. and a very nice scene at that, wonderful mood and very clean settings, comes out great to me. PS: when i first read the shining before seeing the movie but knowing that my friend jack would be the main man,i was sitting on a balcony with utes and mines first vactation ever in 1984/85 in Tunisia North/Africa,it was around 38-40ยบ celsius in the shade and i was shivering and had chicken skin while reading. by the way the only vacation we have been able to afford at that time,as it was relatively cheap. and all was calm not muslim/christian conflicts at least not in that country- favorite PS your bday is very soooon bro
