Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Its nice to see something man-made be given over to nature like this. Wonderful colors.

It's most likely a winch. Excellent texture shots! I love the rust, the seaweed, the colors ... nicely done!

LOL at Carin's remark above...but I'll bet none of us are as bad off as this poor old piece of machinery. Neat shot and collage M:)

A most amazing ecosystem! WONDERFUL!

I am not sure what it is either but the rust sure made it pretty, nice capture

You rang? OMG, that is utter rust, erosion, and deterioration beyond belief, Marilyn! It's fodder for the Yuck category, for sure. I bet its integrity has disintegrated to the point that a sharp chop with a hammer would bring it down without too much effort. In any case, fine fotos of the multicolored textures in this sequence.

Be willing to place my bet on a portable generator! Great colors, well seen!

It looks a little like an old winch - beyond servicing.. :-)) What destruction the salt can inflict. Nice texture.
