Description
This is a sweet little lovebird named Banana.
Sadly he passed away last winter, but
he was so special to his owners, and
brought them so much joy, they asked me
to do a painting, so his bright spirit
would always be with them.
The love between animals and humans is such a
precious gift.
Credits: Created in Photoshop CS, using lovebird photos, painting techniques, blended with an Organica background. Special thanks to Pat Victorino for sharing photos of Banana.

This is a thoroughly gorgeous image: as always. It's funny, I can't stand the taste of bananas, but I don't mind seeing them or knowing of a bird named after them...it's just their taste I can't stand. Bananas and my body just don't get along. Having said that, I will say that I love this piece of work. You capture animals (and plants) so incredibly well and endow bananas with a quality that even appeals to me...everything in this is quite marvelous.
