...Race day, as the morning fog is lifting, so is the anticipation.
ok, ok, so it's maybe a bit overwrought. honest effort though. all in all not an embarassing try for a rookie hobbyist imho.

Looks very nice, but I'm actually missing some shadows? i.e. the grass and the tires, they don't have any kind of shadow (on the ground). And maybe you could look the mud more muddy? :) .. like.. put some water in there or something. great job though!
