Description

The quality of this image is rubbish, but the history might interest some. Kings Wood is just a few miles inland from me and is huge! I have gotten lost there on more than one occasion (part of the fun!) and each time I walk there something new appears. Either that, or I am getting on a bit and forget having seen it before... ^=^ I tried to get enough of the Copingstone in to show just how intent the powers that be were at the time to keep the animals where they could be easily shot. It protrudes quite an amount making it nigh on impossible for a deer to jump it. Course, had I been there a the time I'd have given them a leg up.... as ya do! ^=^ As an aside, notice the amount of moss and other flora atop of the Copingstone. Because of the wet year we had last year, moss abounds and I must admit, even though many of the trees are covered in it, the diversity of the different kinds is wonderful to see. Thank you for taking the time to look.
