Description

"Since the TSA has outsourced its police force, the lower decks of Earth's orbiting stations have become havens of corruption or crime. Trust me, those mercenaries, or "security contractors" as they like to be called, are a lot worse than the gangs or organized crime syndicates. At least these guys follow some laws, whatever twisted they may be. The mercs, though... No, stay clear of the decks where they are in charge." Got my inspiration after watching the Swiss SF movie "CARGO". The screen displays in the image are taken from this movie, so credit goes to the SFX crew :) If you have the chance, watch it, it's a nice film :)

This render is awesome. Really tells a story. The only problem I can is is that the cigarette smoke obscures the face of the character in the foreground. Throws off the composition a little. Other than that, this piece really captures a great mood as the lighting, poses, and camera angle is spot on.

I can see what onimusha's saying regarding the smoke but I can also see that as a character portrait it becomes a kind of smoky eye-patch that intentionally obscures the face adding a touch of mystery. Overall I like the lighting and the noise but the latter seems to disappear in the background. I can still see it on the background guards but not on the set or the screens. Specifically on the screens, their brightness and lack of noise allows them to jump forward and steal from the foreground, up-staging your main character. Given that your red and blue lights are lighting the main character they would also affect the color of the smoke making it more blue or red depending on its proximity to each colored light. Don't let the length of the notes fool you, I actually like your character and the composition you've got going on here.
