Description

I think this place ranks very high on my list of favourite places ever visited. This capture has been taken at Bantry House, West Cork. I have been totally overwhelmed with the beauty of this place. I will return here one day! I hesitated between uploading a colour version of this photo or this sepia version. It was raining when we visited, it is Ireland after all :-) so I decided to opt for the sepia version. All thoughts, feedback and comments are welcome! Thanks for viewing and commenting. Frieda

what a gorgeous place, there is even a lake or sea behind! the sepia makes it "old style"; a place for dreams..

Oh, I love every detail of this image and your choice to present it in sepia tone is perfect! It's so deliciously moody and wonderfully rich! There is a sensual edge to this photo that I like immensely: it implies physical sensation--cool/humid air, as well as smell (damp soil and leaf-smell,) and sound (territorial birds somewhere out of sight, chirping at each other.) I love it when a single picture can evoke all of that. I'm glad I saw this and discovered your gallery! This is brilliant!
