Description

Thanks for your views, comments and favs on the "Aquarium". Laurus, latin for "laurel" or in Dutch: "laurier" or in an old version: lauwerier". During a visit in 1995 to prof. Dr. Hans Lauwerier (1923-1997), he gave me the hint to study the possibilities of the Chebyshev polynome as described by Clifford Pickover (Computers, Pattern, Chaos and Beauty, 1991). He also gave me a short Basic code on this polynome. Now, 15 years later, I made an UF version of his code. One of the results we see in this image, dedicated to Hans. The funny thing is that also some ucl's can be applied, here "Orbit Traps" of Damien Jones from the standard.ucl. Around this meandering Chebyshev some textures of Sam Monnier and Mark Townsend have been used.

Een opmerkelijke creatie... het eerste wat me opviel was niet het knappe abstracte design, maar het subtiele 3D effect. Knap werk en een interessante uitleg...
